Small Surf Can Be Fun Too!

Okay, the surf isn't what we expected, or if it is, it surely is not that big. However, with some infrequent chest high sets coming in, why not go out an have a little fun? It doesn't matter if you bodysurf, surf short board, surf long board, bodyboard or just like to watch there is a lot of fun out there.

Point Panic is a prime example of how people are out there having a little fun. Although the sets were very infrequent, that didn't stop numerous people from having a little fun - when they could actually grab a wave.

Another beautiful day in Hawai'i!

Another beautiful day in Hawai'i! That is how I would describe today. What started with a morning of paddle boarding at Ala Moana Beach park turn into a day in the sun. The surf wasn’t that big on the south shore, but it was existent.

Looking For Something To Do?

There is so much to do in Hawaii that sometimes you just can’t decide what to do. And then, some days you just want to stay inside and avoid the heat. So what is there to do inside? There are tons of things. Many people go to the mall. But who wants to go there when you don’t feel like shopping? Well, this weekend I visited the mall down at Pearlridge. I went just to check out their bug exhibit. It had some larger than life Bugs. Some may think they are creepy, but it was a perfect setting for the kids.

Hawaii Times

This weekend may have come with little surf, but the views were spectacular. The clear sky makes a great setting for bbq’s and spending time with friends! Here are some pictures from this weekend.

"The 4th of July Has Smaller Waves in Mind"

The beginning of this three day weekend began with some pretty nice waves on the south shore of Oahu. However, the 4th of July began with much lower expectations. There was hardly any waves to be seen, and when they did come in, there wasn't much to them. The wave were barley waist high. However, Waikiki had plenty of people out waiting for a little fun.

Here is a few images I took this morning.

Small Surf on the South Shore Gets the 4th of July Weekend Started

There was some small and clean waves coming in down at Point Panic this morning. The bodysurfers, surfers and bodyboarders were all down at Kaka’ako Beach Park catching the waves. Although there were long breaks between sets, the line up had plenty of waves to catch. If this is just a taste of what this weekend is going to be like, I can’t wait for tomorrow and Sunday.

Here are some pictures from this morning.
